German companies strive for equal conditions on the market. How the shadow economy is fought was therefore of interest for the representatives of over 50 member companies at the meeting. Lesya Karnaukh explained how the State Tax Service identifies and counteracts schemes and cooperates in this direction with the Economic Security Bureau. She emphasised that the concept of business fragmentation requires unified approaches and that the State Tax Service already submitted its suggestions for legislative regulation.
The off-the-record event was moderated by Kateryna Kovalchuk, Chair of AHK Ukraine's Tax Committee. The meeting aimed to communicate practical concerns of businesses and to contribute to the constructive cooperation between the state and the private sector.
