The German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Ukraine) is part of the network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK), comprising 150 offices in 93 countries worldwide. Established in 2016 in Kyiv, the Chamber supports its member companies in international operations, playing a key role in bilateral economic exchange.

Key responsibilities 

  • Overall management of AHK’s committees  
  1. Quality management 
  2. Quality standards 
  3. Output in terms of advocacy topics and papers 
  4. Output in terms of information for members (which are not committee members 
  5. Marketing committees to members 
  6. Develop and implement long-term strategies for the committees in alignment with organizational goals 
  7. Monitoring and analysis of committee activities 
  8. Oversee the organization and execution of committee-related events, including conferences, webinars, and roundtable discussions 
  9. Oversee the creation of high-quality, informative content (reports, presentations) for both committee members and external stakeholders 
     
  • Resurrection and management/coordination of the working group on communication 
  • Communication to Ukrainian media 
  • Supporting the drafting of the Chamber’s and Committees' position papers 
  • Coordinating Committees’ advocacy initiatives/position papers with the GR & Advocacy Manager 
  • Participating in selected advocacy activities, e.g. working groups on European integration 

 

Qualifications 

  • At least 5 years of experience in public affairs and/or advocacy 
  • Experience in working with or within business associations and their committees 
  • Experience in communication with media 
  • Strong communication and coordination skills 
  • Knowledge of Ukrainian business and political environment 
  • Master’s degree in economics, law, PR, GR 
  • Fluence English and Ukrainian 
  • German is an advantage.
