October 13 ‒ 17, 2025
Dear friends of Ukraine,
The AHK Executive Board is meeting today. The most important item on the agenda is advocacy. The Executive Board will discuss how we can support Ukraine on its path of reform towards EU membership. With our new colleagues Oksana Diachenko and Mykola Boichuk, we have significantly strengthened our capabilities in this area over the summer. One of the first results of their work is our new Policy Tracker.
Intellectual property is one of the issues for our lobbyists. Investors, including those in the defence sector, want to see their IP rights protected. That is why we also spoke this week with the agency responsible for this. In further meetings, we want to address specific problems together with our members.
In addition to the AHK board meeting, there is another important meeting today. Zelenskyi is talking to Trump in Washington to obtain Tomahawks. Shortly before the meeting, the aggressor is trying to thwart this with the idea of another summit in Budapest. War criminal Putin is once again leading the American president by the nose and, together with Orban, is trying to drive a wedge between the US and the EU.
Nevertheless, we wish you a pleasant weekend from Kyiv
