10 ‒ 14 November 2025
Dear friends of Ukraine,
when the independence of the Ukrainian anti-corruption agency was threatened in the summer, we were appalled and, together with many others, spoke out. These days, we are appalled by the scandal in the energy sector, but we are pleased that we have an independent anti-corruption agency in NABU. NABU is clearly not afraid to step on the president's toes. And because NABU's success also depends on politicians and civil servants respecting it, we hope that the scandal will have a healing effect.
In addition to this topic, we are also focusing on the German-Ukrainian Business Awards, which we plan to present at the end of the month.
The nominees in the German company category are:
- Knauf, which is the largest German investor in Ukraine this year and has built a new factory.
- Profine, which manufactures window profiles 30 kilometres from the front line under extremely difficult conditions.
- Quantum Systems, which produces reconnaissance drones in Ukraine, supplies the Ukrainian army and cooperates with it.
- UIFK Agro, which successfully cultivates 6,700 hectares of farmland near Kyiv and has significantly increased yields.
The following companies are competing in the Ukrainian company category:
- Ajax Systems from Kyiv, which has quickly become Europe's leading manufacturer of alarm systems.
- Interpipe, a manufacturer of steel products that operates successfully in Germany and has significantly reduced its carbon footprint.
- MHP, one of Ukraine's largest agricultural companies, which invests heavily in renewable energies and supplies poultry to the EU.
- Univest, which has evolved from a printing company into a major packaging manufacturer and is successful in Germany.
Have your say in which two companies should win this year's awards. Online voting is open from today until next Friday.
Cast your vote right here.
Kind regards
