1. ‒ 5. December 2025
Dear friends of Ukraine,
The Ukrainian parliament has passed the budget for 2026. As in the previous year, Western partners will have to contribute about half of the budget. Whether the external financing comes from a reparation loan or other sources, Europe knows that it must continue to finance Ukraine. Not providing aid will be more expensive than providing aid.
The President of Ukraine also knows that the Europeans know this. That is why he was able to resist calls to dismiss his right-hand man, Andriy Yermak, for so long. Yermak was then forced to resign shortly afterwards. The position has now been vacant for a week, and Ukrainians are eager to find out who will succeed Yermak. The appointment is likely to give an indication of the President's future priorities. Ukraine needs a modern person who wants to move the country forward without pursuing their own interests.
For our members (and other interested parties), here are the next important event dates: On 3 February, we will host the New Year's reception, and on 19 March, the general meeting. We look forward to seeing everyone who comes, especially guests from Germany.
Kind regards
