Senior Advocacy and GR Specialist

The German-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Ukraine) is part of the global network of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (AHK), which has 150 offices in 93 countries. The organisation was founded in Kyiv in 2016 and since then has been supporting Ukrainian and German companies in developing international business, serving as an important platform for bilateral economic exchange.

We offer our members information, experience and opinions through committees, advocacy, up-to-date information through our information products, networking at events and meetings. As advocacy and representation of companies' interests is one of the key tasks of our business association, we are looking for a specialist with business experience and knowledge of the Ukrainian market. The role will also involve coordinating the activities of the AHC Ukraine committees.

Responsibilities

• Writing collective and individual position papers to public administration bodies and structures
• Writing and formulation of the Chamber's policy papers  
• Maintaining and formulating analytical quarterly position reports of the AHK Ukraine
• Coordination and systematisation of AHK Ukraine Committees' work
• Communicating with committee chairmen and coordinators  
• Representation of the Chamber member companies' interests at official meetings, coordination events and conferences
• Writing short updates about the AHK's advocacy activities for the website and as a newsletter to member companies  
• Analysing and monitoring changes to Ukrainian legislation in the context of its impact on international business in Ukraine
• Communicating and organising closed and open meetings with representatives of Ukrainian ministries, state agencies and self-government bodies

Requirements

• University degree in law/economics
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian
• German will be a definite advantage
• At least 5 years of experience in the GR/PR sector or consulting
• Experience of working with international organisations
• Openness in communication with government agencies and foreign partners  
• Negotiation skills
